It was a gorgeous sunny morning, sketching plein air at Wild Acres Park. Several people were fishing from the banks of this little lake, including a family near my painting location. I was expecting a curious onlooker to stop by, but no one bothered me.

Watercolor Sketch - Log Hill Mesa, Ridgway, CO

This was painted from a photo reference taken on a recent trip to Colorado. The mesa is high above the little town of Ridgway, and this view looks at the San Juan Mountains in the distance.
