Kettlewell Bridge Study in Tone

Here's a scan of the finished tone study. Watercolor on Strathmore cold-pressed, 140-pound paper, 11" x 15".

Regatta

I was very hesitant to post this just because it looks so childish and amateurish. However, it's a direct copy of the exercise on p. 81 of the Anne Elsworth book, so we can blame her for its banality. It was an exercise purely to show how the purple layer gets neutralized when applied to a yellow wash. Masking fluid was used to "paint" the sails (using a Q-tip) to preserve the whites.
